Results Saucony XC Scramble/Cardinal Classic/Friday a.m. practice

"Don't even worry if you finish first or 100th. It doesn't make any difference because there's going to be another race later. If you win, everybody forgets it in a few days anyway, and if you lose, nobody remembers, but the inspiration you give will last forever because you'll get other people to run well..." Jerry Lindgren (advice to distance runners)
2013 XC Racing season finally arrived with toasty, humid conditions in Shelly, ID. Despite a late arrival and tough competition the Braves and Lady Braves left a memorable impression on the SE Idaho teams at the meet. Hannah paced the girls, powering through with an 8th place finish, leading the girls to an 6th place finish. Cody Peck rallied over the last half of the course to move from 10th to first place, with Nic running 6th, and Zach 14th. The boys finished a promising third. We are excited about our starting point and look to improve and close gaps as the season progresses. Full results are HERE We have another chance to race and do so next weekend at the CARDINAL CLASSIC. JV Girls race at 10:30, Boys JV at 11:10, Varsity Girls at 12:00, and Varsity Boys at 12:40. All races will be held at Kelly Park in Soda Springs. Bus will leave the HS at 7 a.m. and pick up athletes at Thayne Elementary and Silverstar, then travel to Kelly Park via TinCup. Friday morning we will have a 6:30 a.m. practice at the HS. This will get you home right after school on Friday so you can get things ready to race Saturday. Breakfast will be provided. I'm inspired! Keep working hard! Good things are on their way!
