AHHHH! The summer is 1/2 way over!

Can you believe it? Where has the time gone? We are five weeks into summer and we have 5 more to go until midnight madness. Here's a great chance to assess where you're at with your summer miles. No matter how many miles you've put in so far....keep or get going! Ever day, every run counts toward achieving your goals. Remember, everyone wants to win in October, but few are willing to prepare to win in June and July. Are you a lion or a gazelle?

SVXC- "No Race Begins at the Starting Line"

Two days into your summer training and there are some of you that feel like you are already worn, beat, and overwhelmed. Its early and remember that our goal is to be a better runner on 8/18 than on 6/09. If team mileage goals seem to be too much, cut it back a little and be consistent. Find something that challenges you but that you can do EVERYDAY, well, at least six days a week. Call some teammates and let it rip. Remember NOW is the time to get better and as the GOAT (Greatest of All Time) Haile Gebresellase "No race begins at the starting line." Check out one of his finest moments in one of the most exciting races ever run. You can bet that a little training went into this final moment. The race link can be found here. More on his life here Today's team run will be at the McCoy Creek turn-off on Hwy 89 near Alpine. We'd love to see you there!
